The Gordon Research Seminar on Mechanisms of Membrane Transport is a unique forum for graduate students, post-docs, and other scientists with comparable levels of experience and education to present and exchange new data and cutting edge ideas.
This meeting will focus on technical and functional advances in membrane transport research, specifically membrane protein dynamics and protein-lipid/protein-ligand interactions. A central aspect will be on novel techniques to tackle such topics, thus delivering novel insights and discoveries relevant for processes underlying the basic chemistry of life and yielding insights into pathobiological phenomena such as substance abuse, depression, drug resistance or cancer progression. A dedicated panel discussion on different career paths with a strong focus on audience-driven discussions will also be included.
