We warmly welcome you to the International Nano-Optoelectronics Workshop 2017 (iNOW-2017) held in Tianjin, Qian’an, and Chengde, China. The physics of nanoscale materials and optoelectronic devices based on them has now become a blossoming area for research and development in both academic and industry laboratories. The iNOW-2017 will engage participants in considerations of state-of-the-art nanoscale semiconductor processing and synthesis, the new physics of tailoring material’s optical and electrical properties, new advances in characterization techniques, and new devices with novel functionalities.
The iNOW mission is to establish bridging and networking opportunities for students, researches, and engineers from photonics industries. Similar to previous iNOWs, the iNOW-2017 features tutorial-style talks and poster sessions for students. A unique part is a schedule with ample amount of time for interaction, discussion, and cultural experiences.
The iNOW-2017 is organized with fifteen sessions for invited lecture (six at Tianjin and nine at Qian’an), three poster sessions (one at Tianjin and two at Qian’an), special tour of IEIT (Institute for Electronics and Information Technology in Tianjin of Tsinghua University), and excursions to Tianjin downtown, Qian’an city, and Chengde Mountain Resort, which is one of the China's four famous gardens and covers the largest area of ancient imperial palaces.
We would like to express our gratitude to all invited speakers, students, and researchers for their participation and contributions. We want to acknowledge the support and sponsorship of National Nature Science Foundation of China and other sponsors.
We hope you will enjoy the lectures and the social events, and take advantage of the unique workshop format to establish collaboration and exchange ideas with colleagues from all over the world. Have a great time at iNOW-2017!
