Phytotechnologies refer to plant-based technologies to clean water, soil, air and provide ecosystem services. Following the very successful previous conferences held in Nanjing, China in 2008, St. Louis, MO in 2009, Parma, Italy in 2010, Portland, OR in 2011, Hasselt, Belgium in 2012, Syracuse, NY in 2013, Heraklion, Greece in 2014; Manhattan, KS in 2015, the 13th International Phytotechnologies Conference will be held from 26-29 September, 2016 in Hangzhou, China.
The conference will feature a wide range of topics from mechanistic studies in the lab, technological development and validation on pilot scale, to full scale phytoremedation of contaminated or degraded environment to improve ecosystem and human health.
This conference provides a great opportunity to scientists, engineers, consultants, policy regulators, students and other interested individuals to explore and discuss how recent developments in phytotechnologies address current and emerging environmental challenges.
