World Port University League was jointly established by some famous universities in the world-wide port cities in 2006. Currently there are 15 universities from 12 countries aligned in this league. Port cities have always been the window for intercultural communications, and also have their own unique historic culture. In addition, the universities established in port cities have their respective advantages in the development of marine-related, shipbuilding-related and transportation-related technology.

The related professionals from World Port University League’s member universities and the personnel responsible for international exchange affairs will be invited to the meeting to discuss about the role of the ports in urban development, to summarize the collaborative development mode of harbors, transport and cities, to communicate the training experience of international talents who serve the development of port cities, so as to further promote communications and cooperation among the member universities and lay a good foundation for each university’s personnel training, scientific research and social service.
