The Adam Mickiewicz University Student Chapter of the SEG, the University of Silesia Student Chapter of the SEG, Society of Exploration Geophysicists, European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers, Statoil and the IGSC Organizing Committee all invite you to attend the 7th International Geosciences Student Conference, which will take place in Katowice, Poland, on 11-14 July 2016.
For us, the organizers, student conferences are a source of inspiration and a chance to share ideas with people who have a similar – and yet such a different – background. The opportunity to participate in lectures and workshops conducted by world-famous scientists and industry specialists is one of the most valuable experiences during our academic years.
By organizing this edition of IGSC in Poland we would like to show the beauty and potential of our country. At our universities one can find many world-class specialists in geology and geophysics, who are really keen to share their knowledge with students from all around the world. We have strong support from the industry – being one of the largest European markets, Poland has several companies in oil and gas industry, which operate not only in our country but also in countries like Norway, Pakistan, Canada or Chile (to name only a few) and help to introduce young specialists into the world of the industry.
