It is our great honor to welcome you to the Sino-Israel Joint Symposium on Life Sciences: Towards New Frontiers and Collaboration. The meeting will be held on September 5-6, 2016 in Beijing, China. It is being hosted jointly by the Beijing Institutes of Life Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences (BIOLS, CAS), Tel Aviv University (TAU) and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel (HUJI).
Established in 2009, BIOLS seeks to address complex biological questions through the cross-institutional integration of multiple disciplines. In the global perspective, BIOLS is comprehensively pursuing international cooperation and scientific exchanges. In November 2015, BIOLS signed the Memorandum of Understanding with the HUJI and TAU, respectively; and it was proposed to hold the first joint symposium on Life Sciences in 2016.
The objective of the joint symposium is to provide a platform for the Chinese and Israel scientists to exchange ideas, present their latest findings, and network with their peers. We are confident that the inspiring ideas that will emerge from the presentations and discussions will lead to fruitful partnerships among the participants.
