The 17th Conference on Database Systems for Business, Technology, and Web of the German Informatics Society (GI) will take place from March 6th through March 10th 2017 at the University of Stuttgart in Germany.
For more than three decades, the BTW conference has been the central forum for the German-speaking database community. Every two years, scientists, practitioners and users meet here to exchange ideas on the many topics of database and information system technology.
The field of data management has undergone considerable changes in recent years and many new challenges have risen. The BTW 2017 in Stuttgart addresses these open challenges and possible solutions in a scientific track and an industry track as well as in tutorials, workshops and demos. For the first time, a programming challenge will be part of the BTW.
The BTW conference addresses open challenges and possible solutions likewise. Some of the various hot topics of this 2017 conference are: new hardware and memory technologies, information extraction, information integration, big data analytics, web data management, service-oriented computing and cloud computing as well as new application areas and architectures for scalable data management.
