This conference will survey the fundamental and applied aspects of enzymology with a strong emphasis on the impact enzymology can produce at the interface of pharmacology, medicine, and other disciplines. The sessions will cover an array of topics, from innovative techniques to current developments in understanding enzyme mechanisms. Computational approaches, mechanisms of complex systems, and flavoproteins are among the featured topics. As well, the conference will highlight enzymology in drug design and development while providing the enzymologist a high level view of drug discovery. Established and emerging scientists from academic and industrial settings will stimulate discussions and provide perspective on the topics of this conference. The meeting strongly encourages the participation of students and postdoctoral associates and provides opportunities for discussions and networking. There will be opportunities for oral presentations chosen from submitted poster abstracts.
