The 2015 Polymers Gordon Research Conference (GRC) will assemble an international community of participants to share and discuss the most recent and innovative advances in polymer synthesis, assembly, characterization, and performance. Both synthetic and biologically-derived materials will be emphasized in the oral and poster presentations. Conference topics will span fundamentally new methods for polymer synthesis to emerging concepts in polymer self-assembly to application of novel polymers across technological arenas that positively impact society including energy, medicine, sustainability, and microelectronics. Importantly, the conference will provide mechanisms for professional networking through discussion sessions, daily poster sessions, and the participation of a broad cohort of student and scientists from industry academia and national laboratories. This conference will be preceded by a Gordon Research Seminar (GRS), which will enable future scientific leaders to network and meet current leaders from academia, government, and industry. Outstanding lectures and posters from the GRS will be identified and highlighted at the GRC conference. Combined, the Polymers GRS and GRC constitute an exciting, influential and important collection of presentations in the field of polymer science.
