The 24th International Conference on Room-Temperature Semiconductor Detectors (RTSD) represents the largest forum of scientists and engineers developing new solid-state radiation detectors and imaging arrays. Room-temperature semiconductor radiation detectors are finding increasing applications in such diverse fields as medicine, homeland security, astrophysics and environmental remediation. The objective of this workshop is to provide a forum for discussion of the state-of-the-art of the detector technology, materials development, device and material characterization, electronics and applications. To provide a comprehensive review, oral and poster presentations representing a broad spectrum of research activities emphasizing either semiconductor devices or materials understanding are sought.
Authors are encouraged to submit abstracts on original work in the following areas:
Semiconductor Materials for Radiation Detection
Pixel, Strip, Frisch-Grid and Discrete Semiconductor Detectors
3D Photon Tracking Detectors and Image Reconstruction Technology
Crystal Growth, Materials and Defects Characterization
Properties of Electrical Contacts and Device Fabrication Technology
Radiation Damage, Long-Term Stability and Environmental Effects
Organic and other Photoconductive Materials for Radiation Detection
Scintillator/Semiconductor Array Hybrids
Semiconductor Neutron Detectors
Detector/ASIC Hybridization, Interconnects and Electronics
Spectrometer Systems for Homeland Security, Nuclear Inspections, Safeguards, Portal Monitoring, and Other Uses
