Hardware Software Co-Design (HSCD) is a basic methodology of embedded system which often is used in life critical situation, where reliability and safety are more important criteria than performance. Hardware software co-design usually means meeting system-level objectives by exploiting the synergism of hardware and software through their concurrent design. Co-design problems have different flavors according to the application domain, implementation technology and design methodology.
The HSCD workshop provides a forum to bring together researchers and practitioners working towards improving the Hardware and Software Co-Design and their related areas. The workshop focuses on innovative methodologies, techniques, tools, management and applications in this challenging area, and provides a chance of exchanging ideas on them. This workshop is following the HSCD 2016: Satellite Event of QRS 2016 in Vienna, Austria, August 1-3, 2016, organized by Professor Donghui Guo, Xiamen University, Xiamen City, China.
The topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
Co-Synthesis and Automatic Synthesis
Design Specification and Verification
Generic Co-Design Methodology
Partitioning Algorithm and Component Section
Programmable Component
Prototyping and Emulation
Tools and FPGA of HSCD
Applications and Empirical Studies of HSCD
