On behalf of the Chemical Society of Thailand (CST) and Organizing University (KMUTNB), we are honored to invite you to the Pure and Applied Chemistry International Conference 2017 or PACCON2017 which will be held from February 2, 2017 to February 3, 2017 at Centra Government Complex Hotel & Convention Center Chaeng Watthana, Bangkok, Thailand. It is also a great occasion to celebrate the 60 birthday of Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhon Mahidol. PACCON is the largest annual event devoted to the science in the areas of chemistry, and it will give participants a platform to present their research finding as well as exchange ideas, discover novel opportunities, reacquaint with colleagues, meet new friends, and broaden their knowledge. 

The theme of the PACCON2017 is "Green Convergence on Chemical Frontiers" it will broadly cover all disciplines of chemistry from fundamental research to industrial applications, highlight global chemical scientific interactions and collaborations. The conference format will include oral and poster presentations in many aspects of chemistry and will highlight the concept of green chemistry. Special sessions are also provide to school teachers who have great expertise in contributing to chemistry teaching in school nationwide in order to acquainting them with international atmosphere. The goal of the activity is to promote education in chemistry at school level which will increase public understanding of how importance of chemistry in improving their standard of living. 

Apart from the formal events and activities, we are pleased to have Professor Kurt Wüthrich, Nobel Laureate in Chemistry for the year 2002, as the plenary speakers. Reception and welcome party will be hosted for socializing and great opportunity for networking for all participants. I wish all of the participant's fruitful deliberations and believe that all of you will enjoy the sharing and exchanging of your expertise between thousands of expected delegates from different parts of the world. Moreover, sightseeing throughout the great city, Bangkok, will be provided for your joyous and memory. 

As the president of the Chemical Society of Thailand, I know that the success of the conference depends ultimately on the many people who have worked with us in planning and organizing both the technical program and supporting social arrangements. In particular, we thank all the staff who is working for the Department of Industrial Chemistry, Faculty of Applied Science, and the university, KMUTNB for the timely working throughout the program. Thanks also appreciative to all our sponsors who have help keeping down the costs of PACCON2017 for all participants. Recognition should go to the Local Organizing Committee members who have all worked extremely hard for the details of important aspects of the conference programs and social activities.
