This research was experimental analysis of the intrusion detection systems with Honey Pot and was presented by the intrusion study by the Honey Pot in tricking, delay or deviation the intruder to attack new media broadcasting server for IPTV system. There were three types in the attack in the form of Denial of Service(DoS) over wire network and wireless network : TCP Flood, UDP Flood and ICMP Flood by Honey Pot, where the Honeyd would be used. In the simulation of Honey Pot, a computer or server in the network map needed to be secured by the inactivity firewalls and other securities using intrusion detection systems and Honey Pot only in secure networks. The network intrusion detection system was SNORT (www.snort.org) developed in the form of the Open Source operating system Linux. The test results from attacks from the internal network and outside of this research made it possible to optimize the intrusion detection systems to new media broadcasting on the Honey Pot system that worked with intrusion detection. Regarding the attack via the network, there was a risk of being attacked by the nearby wireless network and the attack of TCP Flood rate intrusion detection limit compared with the attacks, ICMP Flood with a detection rate of invasive attack was on the network within each 31.65% and attacks via external networks, where there was 54.27% different means of attack, which indicated that the TCP Flood and all forms of attacks over internal wire networks were the most disturb IPTV system and Honey Pot can reduce impact of every attack.
