The study encompasses analysis and design of cantilever sheet pile in various cohesionless soil conditions, using theoretical soil parameters which typically represent practical design situations.Soil parameters involved are angle of shearing resistance (o), angle of wall friction (d), unit weight (y), for retained height 1.5 to 8.8m (including unplanned excavation). The effect of changes in soil parameters on the embedment depth is critically studied.Design charts were developed from the results of the analysis and the relationship of soil parameters on embedded depth were discussed using the charts. In order to ease the rigor of analysis and design, engineers can use the charts so far the site conditions and required analysis parameters have been determined.
