Ideality is individuals' imagination, hope, pursue and goal that associates their future, relates to reality, accords with the rules of development and is possible to realize. This paper explains Chinese traditional cultural ideality foundation and development, by using meta-analysis method which explains the topic from a few aspects, i.e., contents, expression form, realizing solutions of ideality. The conclusions are, germination: The first expression about ideality in China is traced back to "The Book of Songs" which is written in Zhou Dynasty. Besides, the thought of ideality developed primarily in the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period. Contents: Chinese ancient ideal thought contains "The whole world as one community", "helping each other and to be humanitarian", "Ideal Personality" and so on. Especially, "The whole world as one community" is the core part of it and the pre-qin scholars and later thinkers all set "The whole world as one community" as the core principle of ideal society. Expression forms are "everyone labor", "governing by non-interference", " ideals in education " and so on.
