In this paper, we explore the blind rendezvous in the cognitive radio networks (CRNs). Blind rendezvous is a necessary operation without the assistant of common control channel (CCC) and network centralized controller in CRNs. We propose a new algorithm named novel role based (NRB) Which generates the channel hopping (CH) sequence base on the available channel set. NRB can achieve rendezvous more quick than the other algorithms. We prove that NRB can guarantee the rendezvous within infinite time and derive the maximum time to rendezvous (MTTR) through the analysis. The simulations show that proposed NRB outperforms other recently developed rendezvous algorithms in terms of time to rendezvous (TTR).
