Compared to AC motors, DC motors have simpler structures and are easier to control. Additionally, separately excited DC motors offer a wide speed control range, environmental friendliness, and cost-effectiveness due to their ability to independently control the excitation current. To address the issue of complex structures in separately excited DC motor speed control systems, this paper proposes a novel motor speed control system that achieves independent control of armature winding and excitation winding voltages using only a single set of H-bridge circuits. Compared to existing motor speed control systems, this approach reduces the use of active components and enhances system stability. Simulation and experimental results demonstrate that this solution can simplify system structure while maintaining controllability over both armature voltage and excitation voltage.
