The holes have an important impact on the quality and safety of rock engineering. The anchor grouting support measures are often used to reinforce broken surrounding rock. To explore the influence of anchor grouting support on the mechanical properties, energy evolution, progressive instability and failure characteristics of rock with different hole shapes, this paper takes the rock sample with a regular triangle hole, inverted triangle hole, vertical rectangular hole, horizontally rectangular hole, regular trapezoidal hole and inverted trapezoid hole as the research object, compares and analyzes the crack initiation stress, peak stress and residual stress of rock with different hole shapes with and without anchor grouting support, and obtains the effects of different hole shapes on the mechanical properties of rock. The method for calculating rock brittleness index considering pre-peak brittleness and post-peak brittleness is put forward, the effect of anchor grouting measures on the brittleness index of rocks with different hole shapes is analyzed. The impact energy index, progressive instability and failure characteristics of rocks with different hole shapes are analyzed, the anchor grouting support measures reduce the brittleness of rock and increase the ductility of rock, and effectively prevent the sudden release of internal energy.
