Key Technologies of on-line Calibration based on Laser Plasma Pulsed Soft X-ray source

ICF experimental research involves a large number of X-ray radiation measurements. Before the formal experiment, people need to all kinds of X-ray measuring instruments and equipment. The special calibration line of synchrotron radiation for laser ICF can well meet the application requirements. With the in-depth study of ICF experiment, it is found that the performance state of some key components decays seriously with time, such as XRD, multilayer mirror, etc. Therefore, new requirements are put forward for the calibration: in-situ calibration and real-time detection. In view of this, based on the new monochromatic technology of soft X-ray dispersion focusing unit, a technical scheme of pulsed X-ray online calibration source is proposed, and a ten-pair energy point pulsed soft X-ray online calibration system with compact structure and symmetrical layout is designed and developed. Based on the plasma pulse X-ray source with 10TW laser device, the output energy points of the system at 277 eV, 395 eV and 949.8 eV are confirmed. Based on the cavity-target pulsed soft X-ray of SGIII prototype device, the photon number of 1e8 ~ 1e9phs/shot of each channel is obtained; The sensitivity of the XRD at the above three energy points is obtained by Pulsed Soft X source. The relative errors between the measured values and the sensitivity calibration of synchrotron radiation are 13.8%, 2.1180% and 2.5343%, respectively. At the energy points of 395.4 eV and 949.8 eV, the transmittance of Al filter (500nm thick) with known thickness is measured. The experimental results are 16.477% and 85.9163%, respectively. The relative errors are 0.9736% and 3.3704% with respect to the transmittance of CXRO database (16.639% and 83.115%), respectively. The experimental results show that the developed pulsed X-ray source system has the function of on-line calibration. In the follow-up, the calibration energy points of the system will be expanded on the basis of the system, and the calibration technology of intense pulsed hard X-ray energy range will be explored.
