Prediction of asteroid mining based on Vector Autoregression

   In order to study the future vision of asteroid mining, we defined nine indicators such as the number of countries that can carry out asteroid mining as the specific manifestation of the vision of asteroid mining. According to the similarity and correlation of the development trend of each indicator, we divided them into four groups for vector autoregressive prediction. Then, we selected the index with the largest proportion in each group of prediction data as the constituent element of the asteroid mining vision, and compared the actual value in 2021 with the predicted value in 2021 to analyse the accuracy of the model. Finally, we found that, by 2050, asteroid mining will be dominated by the state; Asteroid mining is mainly funded by enterprises; The main beneficiaries of asteroid mining are enterprises.
