Design of Electricity-saving Detection for Icing State Based on the Microwave Technology

摘要
Most of high-voltage, ultra-high-voltage and extra-high-voltage transmission lines are located in sparsely populated areas, which are severely affected by ice cover disaster. Monitoring the icing state of the line is an effective method to alleviate or avoid this disaster. The traditional detection approach is modeling by tension, dip angle and other parameters at both ends of transmission line, which vary greatly due to the wind. At present, there are studies using image or optical fiber sensor for ice detection, but they are required to deal with a large amount of data and only suitable for optical cable respectively.Based on the microwave detection technology with strong anti-interference and low computation, an electricity-saving detection for ice state adopting microwave icing sensor is proposed in this paper. Armed with a main control chip STM32F103RCT6, the data measured by WTX-DW-003 ice sensor and JXBS-3001-CSB ultrasonic anemometer is transferred into the main control chip, and then be transmitted to the server by E840-TTL-4G05 communication module. Electricity-saving strategy is achieved by properly powering on and off the module at runtime, as well as setting a one-minute sleep time.After debugging, accurate data is collected and displayed, such as wind speed, wind direction, ice thickness, dielectric constant and so on. Additionally, its energy-saving strategy works, while GPS data acquisition depends on an open environment.In a conclusion, it presents a design of automatic detection for icing state with a microwave icing sensor and an economic regulation, which shows a possibility for the instead of manual inspection. Besides, the data of icing state could be prepared for the analysis of icing mechanism.
