Analysis of lightning protection and grounding performance of composite material tower for low voltage distribution lines

摘要
As a new type of transmission line tower, composite material towers can effectively reduce the lightning trip-out rate due to their advantages of strong insulation, good corrosion resistance and light weight. In order to make full use of the insulation of the composite material tower, this paper adds the downward ground wire to the 6kV composite material tower and takes its lightning resistance performance as the research object. The influence of the tower head height on the lightning trip rate of the line is optimized according to the assessment indicators, and finally the length of the cross arm is 0.4m, the height of the tower is 10.9m, and the height of the tower head is 0.6m. A reasonable combination of tower parameters is given under the different spans and different ground flash densities of grounding resistance
