Computation model of transformer short-circuit electromagnetic force considering winding radius manufacture deviation

The operation safety of transformer is threated by accidents caused by winding deformation, and obtaining the distribution characteristics of short-circuit electromagnetic force is the key. Scholars have done substantial research on the influence of winding ampere-turn distribution, taping state, etc., but the influence of winding manufacture deviation haven’t been considered. In this article, the axial height deviation and radial radius deviation were counted in the transformer winding manufacturing workshop, and the distribution function of radial radius deviation was obtained. First of all, the influence of manufacture deviation on the electromagnetic force distribution was qualitative analysis, then a 2D FEM model considering the winding manufacture deviation was built. Calculations of typical transformer showed, compared with without considering the winding manufacture deviation, the radial electromagnetic force increased by 22.6%. The results of this paper could provide reference for winding manufacturing process control.
