There are numerous oil-paper insulation aging products, but they all contain minor, and it isn’t easy to directly detect their contents in oil. In this study, several common extractants were selected to extract and detect the products of aging characteristic substances in oil, such as furfural and acetone. The extraction characteristics of aging products were studied to obtain the detection performance based on Raman spectroscopy with different extraction agents, different extraction times, and different extraction ratios. A study on the simultaneous extraction and detection of multiple characteristic products by a single extractant was also carried out. The best general extractant and its extraction parameters applicable to detecting aging characteristics of oil-paper insulation were obtained. It references the simultaneous and rapid detection of multiple aging products in aged oil-paper insulation equipment.
