When the Laser Triggered Vacuum Switch (LTVS) is turned on, the inductance parameters of the switch itself and the inductance parameters of the arc are the main factors that affect the trigger delay time, accuracy and reliability of the switch. In this paper, a new method for measuring the inductance of a laser-triggered vacuum switch is proposed, and an experimental platform for the discharge of a laser-triggered vacuum switch is built. The inductance parameters of the switch under different operating voltages and laser energy are obtained. The experimental results show that: when the LTVS is turned on, the inductance remains stable in the first two current cycles, and then gradually decreases; changing the trigger laser energy of the switch has no obvious effect on the inductance parameters; while the inductance parameters of the switch increase with the increase of the trigger voltage. When the operating voltage is 1.6KV to 3.0KV, the inductance value of the switch is between 240nh and 400nh. The research work of this paper provides a certain reference value for the design of low-inductance laser triggered vacuum switches.
