Key Technologies of Internet of Things (IoT) Terminal in Intelligent Energy

Intelligent energy Internet of Things (IoT) supports smart cities construction through the functions of information sensing and energy management. However, massive application scenarios of smart cities result in serious fragmentation of IoT terminal ecosystem. Establishing platform-based terminal ecosystem is considered as a solution to the fragmentation problem. This paper presents key technologies and future trends of terminal ecosystem for intelligent energy IoT. Functions of intelligent energy IoT are addressed to summarize demands for IoT key technologies, which involving sensor, hardware platform, software system and machine-to-machine (M2M) communication. Future trends of platform-based terminal ecosystem, including unified resource model, reconfigurable hardware platform and lightweight software system are proposed to solve serious fragmentation.
