The vibration signals resulted from the switch-over process of on-load tap-changer (OLTC) are inevitably contained the vibration signals of an operated transformer, which would lead to some negative effects for the vibration monitoring of mechanical condition of OLTC. Aimed to solve this problem, this paper presents a signal separation method of vibration signals of OLTC of an operated transformer based on morphological component analysis. According to the morphological differences of vibration signals of OLTC and transformer, the K-singular Value Decomposition dictionary is built and trained to obtain the relatively pure vibration signal of transformer and the vibration signals of OLTC corresponding to its mechanical condition with the block coordinate relaxed algorithm. The calculated results of the measured vibration signals from the operation of OLTC for an operated transformer have shown that the proposed method can effectively obtain the desired vibration signals of OLTC and transformer with the advantages of high adaptation and high calculation efficiency. The results could provide the important data support for the vibration monitoring technology of mechanical condition of OLTC.
