摘要
Abstract: This study aimed to understand the car-following and lane-changing behavior in specific uphill sections of the mountain expressway and analyze the influence of the vehicle mix rate and slope on the vehicle operating speed. Based on the analysis of the influencing factors of car-following in specific uphill sections, a modified model of car-following based on linear car-following model is proposed. Based on the analysis of lane-changing behavior and its influencing factors, the minimum lane-changing safety distance that should be satisfied under the condition of no collision between lane-changing vehicles and surrounding vehicles is obtained according to the driving characteristics of vehicles in specific uphill sections. According to the car-following and lane-changing behavior in the specific uphill section of mountainous expressway, the model parameters of the simulation software are modified, and the vehicle mixing rate and gradient are taken as the influencing factors respectively. The results show that the minimum lane change safety distance is related to the relative longitudinal speed, relative longitudinal acceleration and time; the operating speed of all vehicles is negatively correlated with the vehicle mixing rate; and the operating speed of all vehicles is negatively correlated with the longitudinal slope. The research results provide technical support for the improvement of driving behavior in specific uphill sections of mountain expressways.
