摘要
The Mobile Load Simulator(MLS) is an innovative high technology product with the original patent (90/9054) registered in South Africa. The MLS has been developed to meet the test requirements for 4 to 6 weeks period on road and pavement to evaluate about 20 years performance under the real traffics and work environment. It has been implemented from very large and unwieldy load simulators, variations of these devices were initially designed to allow the execution of load tests using a one-third scale device: Model Mobile Load Simulator MMLS. The further development of these variations led to the design of the mobile, full-scale load simulator MLS series for the execution of full-scale accelerated pavement testing. MLS is applied to simulate traffic loads by using a rolling wheel load to apply load along a linear track and a wandering movement. Smart MLS is to apply the big data which are collected at sites for an intelligent evaluation and cloud computations by 5G transmission. The existing maglev system with linear motor of the MLS is to work at remote artificial control operations.
