High temperature performance of crumb rubber modified asphalt with different content based on rheological properties

摘要
With the development of economy and the increase of car ownership year by year, the environmental pollution caused by waste tires has become an increasingly serious problem. Adding rubber powder from waste tires into asphalt can not only reduce pollution but also improve the performance of the pavement. In this study, 5%, 10%, 15% crumb rubber modified asphalt and 90# asphalt were made to evaluate their high temperature performance. And TFOT and PAV aging were used to simulate the short-term and long-term aging of asphalt. Based on the T-f-sweep test and MSCR test, master curves of complex modulus and phase angle of the four asphalt mastics were established. And PG gradings of them based on rutting parameters were divided. Besides that, Jnr and R% were selected to evaluate the resistance of deformation and elastic recovery of four kinds of asphalt. The test results show that the crumb rubber modified asphalt have better high temperature performance than the 90# asphalt. With the increasing content of rubber powder, the high temperature performance is also improving. Compared with rubber modified asphalt, 90# asphalt is more sensitive to aging. Finally, the results of evaluating high temperature performance of asphalt by complex modulus, phase angle, rutting parameter, Jnr and R% are consistent.
