Governments have been increasing the publicity of the concept of green environmental protection and promoting the habit of public transportation. However, there is still a lack of quantitative analysis and empirical cases on the connection between environmental concern and habit in public transport travel behavior. Based on the theory of planned behavior (TPB) and the theory of habitual-driven behavior, this study constructs the TPB model A of mode choice behavior of public transport, the extended TPB model B of increasing environmental concern, and the extended TPB model C of covering environmental concern and habit, in order to quantitatively compare and describe the role of environmental concern and habit in mode choice behavior of public transport. Finally, taking Chongqing as an example, 401 valid questionnaires were collected. The results show that habit partially mediate the effect of environmental concern on public transport travel behavior and the effect of environmental concern increased by 0.08 after considering the mediator effect of habit. In terms of the total effect, behavioral intention (0.54), perceptual behavior control (0.46), and habit (0.38) have the most significant effect on public transport travel behavior, while environmental concern (0.16) has less effect.
