摘要
With the booming economy and increasing population, the travel demand in China’s Pearl River Delta region rose rapidly, which has brought great pressure to the transportation network in this region, and the pressure was more prominent during the holidays. From the perspective of vulnerability, this paper explores the impact of holiday large amount of travel on the intercity road network in China’s Pearl River Delta, and characterize the vulnerability of road networks to large traffic flows with the increase of travel time. By means of the simulation method, the dynamic changes of the intercity general travel time in the Pearl River Delta under different traffic flow scenarios are analyzed, and the vulnerable route in the intercity road network in the Pearl River Delta is identified accordingly. The simulating results in MATLAB R2016b shows that: With the increase of intercity traffic flow, the vulnerability of each route tends to balance; in addition, intercity travel vulnerability increases with the increase of traffic flow, while the road traffic vulnerability of Guangzhou-Zhuhai shows a trend of rising first and then decreasing. In response to the evolution of intercity traffic flow vulnerability in the Pearl River Delta under the large traffic flow scenario, some corresponding improvement suggestions are proposed.
