The reliability assessment, repairing, improving and strengthening for the existing concrete structures have aroused public attention, and become an important research topic of engineering structure field. During the repairing transformation, there are some structural problems that can't be ignored, such as detailing requirements, especially for the joints of frame. According to Code for design of concrete structures GB 50010-2010 ( version of 2015) , the joint requirements of side column and middle column are different. This paper mainly studies the effect on splices of reinforcement. In order to study the influence of beam and column tensile reinforcement lap joint on joint performance, the finite element analysis of the L-frame joint for continuous tension reinforcement and discontinuous tension reinforcement is carried out respectively, when the other engineering conditions are the same. The analysis results show that whether the tension reinforcement is continuous or not has a significant effect on the bearing capacity of the L-frame joint. Therefore, we should pay attention to the splices of reinforcement when removing the cantilever section.
