摘要
The power electronic inverter suffers from the risk of an open-switch fault. Based on FCS-MPC, this paper proposes an open-switch fault detection method for neutral-point clamped three-level inverters. Common mode voltage is considered in the fault model; therefore, the dynamic behavior after fault can be predicted. The proposed FCS-MPC fault detection method divides one grid cycle into six sectors. This method can recognize two IBGTs in each period and only uses exist information. No extra devices or complex calculations are introduced. Simulations are executed to verify the reliability of analysis and fault detection of the proposed method.
