Energy grass is a kind of perennial and tall clumped herb of Gramineae. As a kind of biomass rich in cellulosic, energy grass is suitable for clean renewable energy production. Hydrogen is an ideal renewable energy. Biological hydrogen production technology can use waste biomass to produce hydrogen, which can realize the resource utilization of waste and improve the environmental pollution at the same time. There are many kinds of energy grass. Reasonable treatment and utilization of energy grass can alleviate the pressure of energy shortage. There are some differences in the composition of different kinds of energy grass, so the amount of cellulase required for pretreatment is also different. In this research, ten kinds of energy grass were selected for biohydrogen production by dark fermentation and photo fermentation. Each kind of energy grass was treated with different enzyme dosage, so as to study the effect of enzyme dosage on biohydrogen production of energy grass by ferment bacterium. It can be seen from the results that the effect of enzyme dosage on biohydrogen production of different energy grass is obviously different. Comparing the biohydrogen production effect of energy grass with different enzyme dosage, the best enzyme dosage of this energy grass was obtained. Comparing the biohydrogen production effect of different energy grass under the same enzyme dosage, the best energy grass for biohydrogen production was obtained.
