In this paper, Komatsuna and Chinese cabbage were used as the research objects to carry out pot experiment. Explore the effects of different mixing ratios of kitchen waste compostand forestry waste as a cultivation substrate on vegetable growth and substrate properties. According to the different ratios of completely decomposed kitchen waste compostand forestry waste (15% branches, 20% reeds, 20% fallen leaves, 25% mushroom residue, 20% straw), a total of 6 treatments were set up. The proportions of kitchen waste compostwere T1:0, T2:10%, T3:20%, T4:30%, T5:40%, T6:50%. The results showed that the fresh weight and total nitrogen content of T6 were higher than other treatments. Compared with T1 , T6 increased the yield of Chinese cabbage and Komatsuna by 47.44% and 41.06%, respectively. The contents of phosphorus and potassium in the leaves of the two vegetables in T5 were higher than other treatments. The bulk density and porosity of the two vegetables in T5 and T6 were better than those of other treatments. The EC value of the substrates in T5 was the lowest, and the salt content was relatively low. The content of organic matter in the substrate of T5 and T6 increased in varying degrees, and T5 increase  most(21.78%). The decrease of sodium ion content in T5 was the largest, and the decrease of fat content in T6 was the largest. It can be seen that adding 40% and 50% kitchen waste compostfor vegetable cultivation substrate, the substrate soil is not easy to salinize and harden, and the fertility is better, which provides a more suitable growth environment for vegetables, and  forestry waste and kitchen waste have been adequately resource utilized.
