Numerical Simulation and Experimental Study of Hydraulic Diaphragm Pump

Hydraulic diaphragm pump valve is a key component of diaphragm pump, but also one of the most vulnerable parts. Pump valve failure often leads to diaphragm pump fault, affecting the normal operation of medium transport and safe production. In this paper, based on CFD method, dynamic mesh model provided by FLUENT software was applied to conduct dynamic numerical simulation of the three-dimensional flow field of diaphragm pump valve, and through visual test of ball valve movement and pressure measurement of seat wall surface, the motion trajectory of automatic ball valve and fluid flow inside seat were comprehensively studied. The calculation results can provide reference for the selection of pump head ball valve.
