In this study, the effects of temperature and CO2/N2 content on H2/CO sgngas production and CO2 reduction (utilization) efficiency of pyrolysis wheat straw were investigated. The results indicated that increase temperature and CO2 content can improve the H2/CO syngas yield and decreased the tar and char yield. The H2/CO syngas production reached the peak value of 16 mmol/g-biomass at 800 ℃ and 100% CO2 atmosphere. The change of temperature showed no effect on CO2 yield, whereas increase CO2 content significantly decreased the CO2 yield for each temperature case. The CO2 yield during wheat straw pyrolysis process can be reduced by 130% with CO2 content increased from 0 to 100% at 800 ℃. The increase of CO2 content can boost the reaction of C + CO2 → 2CO, and then increased the CO production and decrease the char and CO2 yield.
