Study on Test Methods of C3H8 and C3H6 in Insulating Oil by Vacuum Degassing Technology

The dissolved C3H8 and C3H6 in insulating oil were separated from samples by vacuum degassing technology. The content of C3H8 and C3H6 in insulating oil was determined by gas chromatography separation and FID detector. The results showed that C3H8 and C3H6 have a linear response on FID detector. The detection limits of C3H8 and C3H6 were 0.33 μL/L and 0.29 μL/L respectively. The recoveries of C3H8 and C3H6 were in the range of 91.1% ~ 102.7% and 91.9% ~ 107.9% respectively. The relative standard deviation of the measured values of C3H8 and C3H6 (n = 6) was 6.8% and 3.2 % respectively.
