This study mainly uses BICOMB 2.0 software and SPSS 22.0 to conduct statistical analysis of 243 articles (2008-2017) from CNKI in order to find the research focuses in the field of English Competency Standards. The mapping knowledge domains of " China's Standards of English Language Ability" research focus was drawn based on the high-frequency keyword similarity matrix, class analysis matrix and multi-dimensional scale analysis charts. It is found that in the past decade, research in the field has mainly focused on the assessment systems; the language proficiency scale itself; language competence; teachers’ teaching; and students’ study. It is suggested to develop the following aspects in the future: exploring a foreign language assessment system with Chinese characteristics; finding new path to apply the CSE scale; to improve the assessment mechanism for cross-cultural competence and translation competence; developing English teacher standard; developing the curriculum standards and student self-learning guidelines based on CSE; integrating English language courses & exams and CSE.
